The 2026 Mazda CX-5 has been redesigned inside and out, with a silhouette that incorporates the KODO:"Soul of Motion" design philosophy to create a sense of movement. The Mazda signature wing, front grille, angular headlight elements and available 19-inch wheels enhance its appearance, stance and stability.

Inside, the minimalistic interior is designed to be a calm, functional space to help the driver focus while rear passengers enjoy increased leg, knee and headroom. Premium materials and finishes, as well as available ambient cabin lighting in the door panels, create a refined, curated atmosphere and a more comfortable ride.

Stay connected and focused with an available 15.6-inch center touchscreen display, the largest ever offered on a Mazda vehicle. Our HMI philosophy delivers multiple easy-to-use options for interacting with the vehicle, including the touchscreen, tactile steering wheel controls, and voice controls.

INTEGRATED INNOVATION

The All-New 2026 CX-5 will be the first Mazda vehicle to include Google built-in®, which provides a more connected, personalized experience. With Google Maps as the main navigation system, access to Google PlayStore apps, and Google Gemini, an AI assistant coming soon to cars with this technology,1 you can find everything you need in one place.

The 2026 Mazda CX-5 might be redesigned to add space and technology, but it still has the Mazda driving dynamics you love. The Skyactiv-G® 2.5 DOHC four-cylinder engine with Cylinder Deactivation and i-Stop is paired with standard i-Activ AWD® to deliver dynamic performance in nearly all driving conditions.2

Exterior: The 2026 CX-5 is longer by about 4.5 inches.

Interior/cargo: The new CX-5 offers increased rear leg, knee and headroom, and has a notably larger rear cargo space.

Technology: The all-new CX-5 features an available 15.6-inch integrated center touchscreen display — the largest ever offered on a Mazda vehicle. It includes Google Built-in® and enhanced connectivity features.1The redesigned cabin minimizes physical buttons and knobs, incorporating controls through familiar app-based interfaces (i.e, Google Assistant), touchscreen functionality, and steering wheel-mounted controls—offering greater flexibility and a more seamless user experience.

The 2026 CX-5 will launch with Mazda’s Skyactiv®-G 2.5 four-cylinder engine, which produces 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 6 speed automatic transmission and standard i-Activ AWD®.
A Mazda Hybrid powertrain is confirmed and will launch in 2027.

The new CX 5 includes an enhanced suite of i-Activsense® advanced driver assistance features, and it will introduce several new enhanced Advanced Driver Assistance System features.

For the first time ever, Mazda will be offering Rear Automatic Emergency Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, and Forward Turn-Across Traffic Braking as standard safety features across all trims of a single model. 

Also, for the first time in a Mazda vehicle, the new CX-5 will feature Emergency Lane Keeping, Blind Spot Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Mazda Radar Cruise Control with speed limit assist, as standard equipment.  

The 2026 CX-5 also includes a new available Lane Change Assist feature, as well as an improved available 360 Degree View Monitor.
The new Mazda CX-5 has an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of TBD MPG city, 30 MPG highway and 26 MPG combined.
